Not everybody in Harlem is thrilled about Baauer's "Harlem Shake," but the New York neighborhood's most famous man - Diddy - says he supports the dance craze. Baauer's gyrating dance track has become a viral hit after fans began posting video of their own wacky versions of the dance. Now, Diddy tells MTV News that he thinks the "Harlem Shake" craze is fun. He admits it's hard to disagree with something that makes so many people get on their feet and start dancing. The rapper and entrepreneur adds that he loves seeing people let loose, especially in this day and age when everybody's trying to be so cool.
Beyoncé is ruffling the feathers of animal rights group PETA yet again! The brunette bombshell was recently slammed for her latest fashion creation, a pair of sneakers featuring calf hair, ostrich, crocodile, anaconda, and stingray skins! The singer teamed up with customized-sneaker maker PMK and designer Isabel Marant create the sneaker wedges … and the kicks have PETA up in arms. But Queen B is no stranger to controversy thanks to her penchant for wearing animal skin and fur. In February, Beyoncé was slammed by PETA for wearing a leather costume during her Super Bowl halftime performance. And who can forget the full-length fur coat the “Countdown” singer donned at the 2013 Presidential Inauguration? She’s even rocked mink false eyelashes!
More than three years after the most famous VMA interruption of all time, Kanye West still thinks Beyoncé is better than Taylor Swift. And just like last time, it was an awards show that set him off. During a performance in London over the weekend, the rapper ripped into a slew of people and companies during an 11-minute rambling rant … including, once again, T-Swift. “Taylor Swift beat Beyoncé at the Grammys?” he bellowed into the mic during a tirade, which also took aim at Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake’s “Suit & Tie,” according to MTV News. Was Kanye was once again sipping on a bottle of Courvoisier? (which he blamed for his 2009 outburst) Because, Beyoncé and Swift were not even nominated in the same category at this year’s Grammys.
******The actress best known for playing the mother on the sitcom "One Day At A Time" is dead. Bonnie Franklin passed away today at the age of 69. She had a lengthy battle with cancer. The actress starred in the sitcom alongside Valerie Bertinelli and Mackenzie Phillips. She recently appeared in a guest role on Bertinelli's TV Land show "Hot In Cleveland."
*****Honey Boo Boo is in hot water with the Girl Scouts ... even though she's not a Girl Scout. The tiny reality star started hawking Girl Scout cookies—on behalf of a friend who actually is a scout—on her Facebook page, until the organization shut the whole thing down, TMZ reports. You see, much to the consternation of many a Thin Mint addict, Girl Scout cookies aren't allowed to be sold online because the whole point is to teach scouts people skills, among other lessons.
