Toni Braxton is blaming Oprah Winfrey for her troubles. In a recent interview on VH1’s Behind The Music, Braxton cited a 1998 interview with Winfrey in which The Mighty O blasted Braxton for her spending habits when she first filed for bankruptcy. Braxton said Winfrey was mean to her, and ever since, people started looking down on her. Braxton is no stranger to filing for bankruptcy. Since 1998, she's filed again, and now she is being accused of hiding money with her husband Keri Lewis of Mint Condition. In 2010, she filed for bankruptcy for debt between $10 and $50 million to creditors, and she has been accused of giving $53,000 to her husband to avoid paying those creditors.
Shaunie O’Neal is making major changes on Basketball Wives LA. O'Neal has not renewed the contracts of Gloria Govan, her sister Laura, Malaysia Pargo and Brooke Bailey. The only survivors of the bloodbath are Jackie Christie and Draya Michele. Source says O’Neal felt the show was getting stale, so she decided to shake things up. Other sources claim producers were upset when Gloria Govan went off and married Matt Barnes of the L.A. Clippers. They felt Govan should have had that on the show instead of being so secretive. O’Neal is the producer of the show, and she was never fond of Gloria or Laura.
Speaking Of Matt Barnes, he recently pleaded no contest to resisting arrest and was ordered to perform community service and attend counseling. The NBA promptly suspended him without pay for one game. Barnes wished his team well and called the suspension a joke.
Cee Lo Green is being investigated for an accusation of sexual assault. The judge from the popular NBC reality show The Voice has an accuser who claims Green assaulted her in a sushi restaurant. Green calls the accusations false, but the female accuser says the assault did happen several months ago. The LAPD are following up on the her complaint.
Actor Wood Harris (The Wire) has been added to the cast of Betty And Coretta. The Lifetime TV movie stars Angela Bassett and Mary J. Blige as Coretta Scott King and Betty Shabazz. Harris will play Malcolm X.
Actor/Model Boris Kodjoe has been added to the cast of Addicted. Addicted is based on the sexy erotic book by Author Zane. Addicted is about a married businesswoman with a sex addiction. Nia Long and Tasha Smith are rumored to be up for the starring role in the movie. I think Smith is already part of the cast.
It’s been three months and “Mr. Jefferson” is still not buried. I am talking about Actor Sherman Hemsley. Hemsley died in late July of lung cancer, and he is not buried because of people fighting over his estate. In one corner, there is his longtime manager, Flora Enchinton. Then there is a man who claims to be his brother, Robert Thornton. Now a cousin has jumped into the mix. The cousin, Reverend Michael George Wells, stated he is not looking for any money, but if any comes his way....he would have no problem with that. Reverend Wells also stated he has no money for a lawyer to get in the mix and fight for his share. At stake is $50,000, which is not a lot of money. Just think of the storage fees for Hemsley's body. There just may not be any money left.
Queen Latifah's daytime talk show is set to debut next fall on CBS stations. She and Will Smith are the producers.
The new James bond movie Skyfall opens in theatres November 9th starring Daniel Craig and Naomi Harris. There has been a lot of talk about a James Bond of color, and Actor Idris Elba has been named as a frontrunner.
Congratulations to Jimmy Rollins of the Philadelphia Phillies. No. 11, the best shortstop in baseball, has won his fourth Golden Glove Award. He previously won in 2007, 2008 and 2009.

Katt Williams has landed a starring role in the movie Scary Movie V. The movie is going to be directed by Malcolm Lee, who is best known for his work as writer and director of The Best Man. Scary Movie V also stars Charlie Sheen, Mike Tyson, Heather Locklear, and Lindsay Lohan.
Tracey Edmonds: she was married to Babyface, she almost married Eddie Murphy and now word has it she could the next Mrs. Deion Sanders. The former football player has been very close to Edmonds, who is rich and powerful in her own right as a producer. Is she planning to marry Sanders?
Bobby Brown needs help! For the second time, this year he has been arrested for drunk driving. Brown left rehab early, and now he is paying the price. Is the family doing this reality show for money? Cissy is caving into pressure to give Bobbi Kris her inheritance, and she has decided to do it. Bobbi Kris, 18, is due to inherit the late Whitney Houston's money. When Bobbi turns 21, she gets $2 million. When she turns 25, she gets $4 million dollars. Finally, when she turns 30, she would get $16 million.

Mike Tyson is ready to tell all in a new book about his life. Tyson's biography, Undisputed Truth, comes out next summer and will detail his life as a heavyweight champ, his marriage to Actress Robin Givens, blowing a $400 million fortune, the ear biting incident with fellow Boxer Evander Holyfield, his time in prison for rape and the death of one of his children, daughter Exodus. Tyson recently launched his non-profit organization, Mike Tyson Cares, which focuses on at-risk youth.
Kevin Hart's BET show Real Husbands Of Hollywood debuts in March on BET. The comedy/improv-reality show takeoff features a who’s who of stars including Robin Thicke, Boris Kodjoe, Nick Cannon, Nelly, Duane Martin, Faizon Love, JB Smoove and Anthony Anderson just to name a few. Hart has also signed on for a new movie with Robert De Niro and Sylvester Stallone where Hart plays a fight promoter bringing two old fighters back into the ring.

In Whitney Houston news, get ready for tributes to her this fall. First up, the 18-track tribute album, I Will Always Love You: The Best Of Whitney Houston, comes out November 13th. The coffee table book, Whitney: Tribute To An Icon, comes out November 27th. The Lifetime network presents their TV special remembering Whitney Houston, which will feature home videos and interviews with mom Cissy Houston, brother Gary, daughter Bobbi Kris and sister-in-law Pat Houston. On November 16th, it’s A Grammy Salute To Whitney Houston with Celine Dion, Jennifer Hudson, Usher, Yolanda Adams and CeCe Winans that will air on CBS.
Apollo Live is the Centric network's singing reality show, and it kicks off Saturday, December 1st. Comedian Tony Rock will be hosting and the judges include Gladys Knight, Michael Bivins, and Doug E Fresh.
Speaking of The Empress Of Soul, Gladys Knight is also part of the ensemble for one of the two sitcoms being produced by comedian Byron Allen. The sitcom The First Family is about an African American First Family in the White House. Christopher B. Duncan (The Jamie Foxx Show) and Kellita Smith (The Bernie Mac Show) play the President and First Lady. Also starring are Gladys Knight, Marla Gibbs, Jackee Harry and John Witherspoon. The second Allen-produced show is Mr. Box Office with Bill Bellamy, Vivica A. Fox, Jon Lovitz and Keshia Knight Pulliam. Bellamy plays an A-List movie star who is sentenced to community service teaching at an underprivileged high school. The First Family and Mr. Box Office both air in syndication. Vivica A. Fox is also starring on the show Prank My Mom, which airs Tuesday nights at 10pm on Lifetime.
Jamie Foxx returns to the big screen this December in the Quentin Tarantino’s film Django. The movie, about a former slave turned bounty hunter trying to rescue his wife from slavery, also stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Samuel L. Jackson and Kerry Washington. Foxx has also signed on for the movie White House Down with Channing Tatum. Foxx will play the President Of The United States, who is taken hostage in the White House. Foxx recently revealed plans to produce and possibly direct a film with fellow Comedian Kevin Hart. Speaking of Kerry Washington, her ABC drama Scandal has been picked up for a full season.
Jill Scott has been added to the cast of David E. Talbert's film Baggage Claim. Paula Patton stars in the movie about a flight attendant who has 30 days and 30,000 miles to find a husband. Derek Luke and Octavia Spencer are also part of the cast.
Cedric The Entertainer will be hosting the Soul Train Awards, which will air on the BET and Centric networks on Sunday, November 25th. New Edition is getting a Lifetime Achievement Award. R Kelly has been nominated for Album Of The Year, and he's also up for the Ashford & Simpson Songwriter Of The Year Award. Other nominees include Usher, Estelle and John Legend. Speaking of Cedric, his TV Land sitcom Soul Man may not be picked up for a second season. Cedric is urging fans to help save the show.
On November 16th, Spike TV is doing a tribute special to Eddie Murphy celebrating his
30-year career. Eddie Murphy: One Night Only will feature his work in film, musical performances and sketch comedy.
TV One's popular UnSung documentary series returns in January for a sixth season. I love this show. Their newest profiles will include The Whispers, Lou Rawls, Eddie Kendricks and Isaac Hayes, just to name a few.
On November 9th, it’s the movie LUV. The film stars Common, Megan Good, Charles Dutton and Dennis Haysbert.
The American Music Awards air November 18th on ABC. Nicki Minaj is scheduled to perform.
Look for R Kelly and Tamia on tour together. Kelly says his next CD, Black Panties, is coming out next year. Tamia's new CD is called Beautiful Surprise, which is also the name of her latest hit single.
Sunny Anderson is back with a new show on the Food network. Homemade In America airs Saturday mornings at 9:30am on the Food network.
Singer Kem is getting ready for the holidays. He has a new CD, What Christmas Means in stores now.
